The CMD-Z5 is protected against fingerprints and scratches with a high value UV coating. A flip offers protection of the display but still allows a convenient view of incoming calls, messages, clock, battery level and network coverage - that's intelligent design!

WAP - The future is now
The CMD-Z5 complies with WAP (Wireless Application Protocol), the leading international industry standard for providing Internet communication and advanced services on digital mobile phones and other wireless devices independent of fixed network connections! As such, the CMD-Z5 is equipped with a micro-browser especially developed to make accessing mobile Internet services possible anywhere and any time.

Internet e-mail for wireless connectivity
The CMD-Z5 goes one step further with an independent e-mail protocol to send and receive e-mail. This gives the user a great amount of mobility and accessibility. Graphic data, attachments or long text can be saved and accessed via your PC -maximum flexibility and mobility!

Voice memo
The CMD-Z5 offers an extended voice memo that can record up to 14 messages of 20 seconds each. It is also possible to record important calls for future reference or to record reminders for a to-do list. There is even a built-in answering machine for saving messages directly to the phone.

Phonebook
The CMD-Z5 transforms the phonebook into a personal management tool. With the capability of holding more than 500 contacts with phone, fax and e-mail address information, this phonebook does more to keep you in touch. And for an easy
overview and sorting of the phonebook, there are graphic icons, which can be
attached to entries in order to differentiate among work, friends, and family as well as
mobile, fax or phone numbers.

The Advanced Jog Dial lets you do even more with one hand! Five dimensions provide access to CMD-Z5's many features. Just scroll up, scroll down, press in to make a selection or press forwards or backwards. It's all at your fingertips.

Scheduler - Mobile phone turned organizer
A handy scheduler with several features makes organizing daily activities very easy. Your daily schedule appears on the display, when in standby mode and an optional alarm reminds you of upcoming events. With a monthly overview and the possibility to make up to 4 appointments a day, your CMD-Z5 is a true personal management tool.

T9^TM Text Input - Fast & fun messaging
The combination of CMD-Z5's Jog Dial and the T9TM Text Input make the writing of SMS messages quick and easy. One key-press per character and the internal dictionary provides a list of words to choose from with a press on the Jog Dial. You can even add new words to the dictionary and use this function when using the scheduler or writing e-mails.
