The Samsung CDMA Watchphone is a futuristic-looking communicator which can be worn on the wrist.

It comprises telephone, wristwatch, calculator and
information manager.

Aimed initially at the American youth market, the product shows just what can be done if minds are focused intently enough on a specific concept.

Samsung points out is a prime example of the increasing trend by manufacturers to develop products for specific market segments.

When launched in early summer 2000, it will also carry some cutting-edge features including voice activated dialing and text to speech technology, enabling short messages and e-mails to be listened to instead of being read.
