Pogo is a new hand-held wireless device that delivers 3G-like services on existing GSM and GPRS networks. It is a thin-client device which uses an extremely light-weight operating system and incorporates Pogo's patent-pending compression technology to give Pogo users access to the 'real' internet' in full-colour on the move. The Pogo has been designed to deliver to mobile users what they expected from WAP - wireless access to the real internet. Pogo Technology's proprietary compression technology enables the device to access HTML web content at effective speeds exceeding 56kb/s over GSM and the Flash interface gives a fun, animated, graphical experience for the Pogo user. The Pogo has been designed to be the centrepiece of an entertaining mobile data service for a youthful, metropolitan market. Both the customisable user interface and the physical device are significantly different from other smartphones but most importantly for this audience, the Pogo has been designed to be affordable and accessible to a mass audience. In addition to the phone, PIM and web browsing functionality, Pogo is equipped with a removable multi media card capable of storing up to 64mb of memory. The user can record and play music, games, movies, books and more via this versatile device. Device Specs Pogo brings together GSM & GPRS networks with HTML and Flash content. Many of the 'features' listed below are server-based web content and can therefore be easily customised, enhanced and modified using standard web content.
