Webraska, a leading provider of mobile GPS navigation solutions and high-end geospatial software platforms for wireless carriers and major service providers worldwide, is pleased to announce that Vodafone Navigator, Vodafone Italy's branded GPS navigation solution powered by Webraska Navigation 6, meets heavy customers demand thanks to adapted pricing model, active promotion and availability on a range of popular devices such as Symbian and Microsoft Windows Mobile based smartphones and PDA phones.

One of the most interesting experiences among Vodafone Navigator's customers is the adoption of this solution from the Italian branch of the multinational Philip Morris International: they have acquired about 300 licenses of Vodafone Navigator running on Nokia N70 smartphones.

One of the main goal of the "wireless project" in Philip Morris Italia was to give the maximum connectivity to all his field force, Anytime - Anywhere, just to use a slogan. "When we started thinking about the mobilization of our sales men" declared Fulvio Felicioli, Senior IS Analyst at Philip Morris Italia "we wanted to improve the flow of the information, optimize the time and increase the flexibility: now everyone is using Vodafone Navigator on his phone, getting full advantage and satisfaction from its capabilities".

Philip Morris has chosen Vodafone Navigator because all its features suited the needs of the company: all the field force has been equipped with Nokia N70 smartphones, with Vodafone Navigator preloaded, which communicate with the GPS device via bluetooth.

Vodafone Navigator provides complete guidance with vocal instructions, detailed maps of European streets, traffic optimized routing and Point of Interests. Such features, among all, have given many benefits to the Philip Morris Italia employees: visiting the customers is now faster and more efficient, even in unknown zones, and therefore the acquisition of a new working area has become easier.
