Harris Corporation's TRuepoint
next-generation microwave digital radio has been approved by Russia's
Ministry of Communications for use throughout Russia.
"Harris has a long-standing history of microwave deployments in Russia,
with an installed base of more than 1,600 radios in the country," said
Guy Campbell, president of the Harris Microwave Communications Division.
"Additionally, with
strengthened distribution channels in place and the next- generation
TRuepoint radio now approved for deployment, Harris is committed to
expanding its presence in this market."
"The combination of extreme scalability and the ease and speed with
which it can be deployed make TRuepoint ideal for the rapidly expanding
Russian market," commented Viviane Walti, director of European
operations for Harris Microwave Communications Division.
"We foresee great interest from
service providers across Russia as they scale to meet growing consumer
demand."
