Least Cost Routing Software Maximizes Wholesale VoIP
Profits with 1,000,000 Routes
March 1 2006
TransNexus, Inc. will be
exhibiting with Cisco Systems and presenting its new route optimization
solution at the Spring Voice on the Net (VON) conference in San Jose,
California. The new Voice over IP (VoIP) route server is optimized for
Cisco VoIP networks and provides a single routing solution for all VoIP
network configurations.
The route server interfaces
directly with Cisco trunking gateways, gatekeepers or SIP proxies.
Designed for carrier networks, the TransNexus platform enables carriers
to maximize their VoIP gross margins by supporting over one million
routing breakouts.
In the ultra-competitive world of wholesale VoIP termination, rate plans
are specified with dial strings of seven digits or more. In the U.S.
market, least cost routing tables must have more than 400,000 unique
routes to ensure wholesale providers do not lose money to customers who
pay a low, blended rate for termination services and then only route
calls to high cost destinations. In the international market, the risks
of losses from being "cherry picked" is even greater because the
difference between landline and mobile network termination costs can
exceed 10 cent per minute.
The TransNexus Least Cost Routing (LCR) Server eliminates these
financial risks and creates the opportunity to increase gross margins by
20% or more. With easy to use routing rules and quality of service (QoS)
controls, carriers can quickly build and manage routing tables optimized
for both cost and quality for each individual customer. The highly
automated TransNexus solution also simplifies the process of building
profit maximized route plans from carrier interconnect rate plans based
on Local Access and Transport Area (LATA) and Operating Company Number (OCN).
TransNexus will be exhibiting with Cisco Systems in booth 1501.
