City Of London To Blanket Business District With WiFi |
Feb 23 2005 The City of London is to install WiFi
internet access using hardware on lampposts and street signs. In a JV with ISP The Cloud, the City of
London Corporation will make the entire business area into a gigantic
Wi-Fi hotspot. It should cover some 350,000 workers within 6 months. More than 150 beacons will be installed
and will provide access for the emergency services and other public
bodies.
