Canadian wireless company Research in Motion (RIM) today announced that the High Court of Justice in the UK has ruled in favor of RIM UK in its patent dispute with In Pro, ruling In Pro's UK patent (European Patent EP 0892947B1) invalid.

The UK decision follows a similar decision in Germany. Last week, the German Nullity Court in Munich ruled In Pro's patents invalid. In Pro may appeal the UK decision to the Court of Appeal.

In Pro, a patent holding firm based in Luxembourg, claimed that certain features of RIM's Blackberry mobile devices violated patents held by In Pro.
