A one-day “Switch off your cellphone” campaign is being organised in Nigeria to protest against high tariffs, poor service delivery, inability to recharge phones, inaccurate billings, call drop rates, among others.

The National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers (NATCOMS), says users should not use their fixed and mobile phones. In September 2003, NATCOMS organised the first ever cellphone boycott.
