QUALCOMM Incorporated, a leading developer and innovator of Code
Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless
technologies, and SIM Technology Group (SIM Tech), a leading independent
handset design company headquartered in China, today announced that the
companies have entered into a commercial modem card license agreement.
Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, QUALCOMM has granted
SIM Tech a worldwide license under its CDMA patent portfolio to develop,
manufacture and sell certain 3G (including WCDMA) modem card products.
The royalties payable by SIM Tech are at QUALCOMM's standard rates.

handset design, for the development, manufacture and sale of modem card
products," said Marvin Blecker, president of QUALCOMM Technology
Licensing. "SIM Tech will now be able to expand their product portfolio
to include advanced 3G wireless solutions that enable users to be
connected and mobile, giving them access to necessary applications
wherever they may be."
