Celtel Bids for 65% Of Vmobile Nigeria |
Celtel, owned by MTC
Kuwait,
has bid for a 65% controlling share in V-Mobile Nigeria. Celtel operates networks in 15 African countries, including Sierra
Leone, Burkina Fasso, Chad, Kenya, Malawi, Madagascar, Niger, Sudan,
Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Thirteen of these
networks cover one third of the population. Celtel pursues the goal of
world class networks that are technologically at par with counterparts
in Europe and North America.
