Cell C South Africa Records Huge New Years 2005 SMS surge |
South African GSM cellco Cell C says it
delivered more than 9m SMS on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day 2005, up
from 5.5 million SMSs in 2004 It says that on New Years day some 4.3 million SMSs were sent,
a 39% increase from 2.6 million from 2004. On New Year's Eve Cell C successfully delivered 4.8 million SMSs up
from 2.9 million on December 31, 2003.
