UK National Lottery operator Camelot has announced that Britons are now able to buy tickets for the lottery via their mobile phones.

As of today, lottery players are able to purchase tickets via their handset, whatever mobile operator they are subscribed to.

The company currently sells £1.5m worth of its tickets via interactive TV or its website, and the move to mobile ticketing is part of a commitment by Camelot to extend the lottery to interactive media.
