Oksijen SMSC will be launched at Spacetel Benin
within September 2003, Oksijen announced today.
The agreement, second within the Investcom group
of compnanies, covers Oksijen SMSC. Oksijen has already been the supplier of
high speed SMSC, multimedia services platforms and bulk messaging platform
BMOX for another Investcom operator Ghana Scancom, the leading GSM operator
of Ghana.
Oksijen SMSC and multimedia services platform
EasyBridge has been in use Ghana since 2002 and after the year-long in
utilisation of Oksijen technologies at Scancom, this time the partnership
has been extended to cover Benin GSM operator Spacetel.
Oksijen SMSC is a high speed SMSC with a
comprehensive set of features over and above one-on-one short messaging.
EasyBridge on the other hand, is Oksijen’s multi-channel mobile multimedia
services platform.
EasyBridge supports a wide range of
service delivery channels such as SMS, MMS, video, IVR, WAP and web; it
manages mobile services independent of these technologies allowing mobile
services to utillise multiple technologies all at the same time, for the
best subscriber experience.
On the other hand BMOX, allows for the operators
to form channels by enabling their corporate customers and service providers
to access BMOX over the Internet and utilise their SMS and MMS capacity for
their corporate customers’ bulk messaging needs. Using BMOX, operators’
corporate clients can send bulk SMS, MMS or video messages.
