InphoMatch, Inc. today announced that Optus Mobile has joined its global text messaging network, extending the reach of Optus (Australia) subscribers to millions of additional mobile phones in the Americas and beyond. InphoMatch now delivers international SMS for SingTel's largest properties, including SingTel in Singapore, Optus in Australia, and Globe in the Philippines.

"Optus is an important Australian addition to our global network," said Paul Ruppert, Vice President of International Sales for InphoMatch, Inc. "Connecting the more than five million Optus subscribers 'down under' to InphoMatch's extensive wireless network provides a strategic extension to the SingTel properties around the globe."

As a result of this partnership, Optus' five million subscribers now have direct SMS access to more than 60 million mobile users throughout the U.S. and across North America. This deal is critical because previously, Optus users couldn't send SMS messages outside of their standard GSM-based network.InphoMatch's network -- which delivers messages both inter-carrier and without distinction between network types -- handles more than one billion cross-protocol SMS messages every month.
