Nokia in lead in EMEA mobile handset shipments for 3Q 2004 |
3 Nov 2004 In new analysis, Canalys says that some
66% of new phones (40m) sold in the EMEA region up to Q3204, some 40m, were
camera phones. Canalys stats indicate that that Nokia
was the leading camera phone vendor in the quarter, with 48 percent share,
followed by Sony Ericsson on 12 percent and Samsung on 9 percent. Motorola and Siemens are in fourth and
fifth place respectively. LG is the 3G market leader, with
55% share of EMEA handset shipments.
