NetCom and Telenor are seeing a decline in MMS use after the firms started to charge for MMS from 1 December 2003.

During November 2003, over 6 million MMS messages were sent via the networks of NetCom and Telenor, compared to 180,000 MMS' sent in March 2003.

 NetCom and Telenor have now started charging for MMS and it costs EUR 0.31/MMS. NetCom recorded 48,359 MMS messages sent on 1 December 2003, compared to some 74,000 sent on an average day during October 2003, a decline of 35%.

Telenor has seen a 60% decline, with some 60,000 MMS being sent/d so far in December 2003, compared to an average 150,000/d in November 2003.
