Irish 3G licence holders may take legal action over VAT |
Vodafone, O2 and Hutchison, all holders of 3G
mobile phone licences in Ireland, are reported to be considering taking legal
action against the Irish government in an effort to reclaim up to EUR
50 million in VAT which they believe was included in the
fees they paid for the licences. The possible lawsuits mirror similar actions currently
ongoing in the UK and Austria
