Namibia's MTC has launched a mobile intelligent network (IN) solution from
Intervoice to address rapid mobile prepaid subscriber growth.
The Omvia Prepaid IN solution from Intervoice is a prepaid
billing system that will provide MTC with significant future subscriber
growth while still retaining the flexibility and rich features of its
existing prepaid service offering, also from Intervoice.
Traditionally the ideal solution for operators has been
based on Service Node technology, but as prepaid subscriber numbers increase
rapidly, IN-based solutions promise greater cost effective growth. Operators
such as MTC have looked at these new approaches to increasing cost effective
capacity.
Initially supporting 300,000 MTC subscribers, the Prepaid IN upgrade
solution from Intervoice offers the network operator increased cost
effective capacity without any reduction in features offered to their
prepaid customers.
