Cellphones and their relay antennae cause no measurable damage to humans,
according to a French public health report released on Thursday.
The French agency for environmental health security (AFSSE) says there are
"discreet biological effects" and "possible effects on migraine sufferers,"
but that no real health consequences had been identified.
The report recommended that energy exposure levels continue to be reduced,
and that they be marked on the cellphones, which should be sold with
mandatory ear pieces distancing users from the phone antennae.
And the report rebuffed environmental defence group worries over relay
antennae.
"There is no danger or risk associated with their presence in a
neighbourhood," stated Professor Denis Zmirou, the AFSSE scientific
director.
