Bluepay Technologies announces a real-time wireless portal payment product
designed to reduce disputed transactions and chargebacks for high-risk content
transactions.
Bluepay Technologies has launched a
product suite to offer real-time authentication and compliance for participants
in the mobile infotainment industry.
The company said its Bluepay Wireless Portal enables merchants and content
aggregators, payment service providers (PSPs) and mobile network operators in
the high-risk content business to reduce the level of disputed transactions and
chargebacks they experience to less than 1 percent of total transactions.
According to Bluepay, more than 400 banks are no longer accepting online
gaming transactions. "Action is needed to restore card issuer confidence and
allow online trade to grow," the company said in a release.
The Wireless Portal combines risk management analysis, geo-location,
compliance, customer care technology and alerting capabilities to ensure
potentially fraudulent transactions are prevented by giving the “real customer”
the relevant information fast. Bluepay said legitimate transactions can then be
authenticated in a matter of seconds.
"Although m-commerce is still at an early market stage, Bluepay is targeting
our 'Wireless Portal' solution at the initial wave of mobile content providers
seeking to gain a competitive advantage," said Paul West, marketing director of
Bluepay. “Uniquely we can detect suspicious activity, potential fraud and
connect the subscriber directly to their bank call center, reducing call center
costs for third-party operators, stopping the fraudster at the point of purchase
and personalizing the experience for the consumer."
Wireless Portal is powered by ai Corporation's SmartAuth, a geo-location and
risk management engine that is used to detect merchant or cardholder fraud.
Bluepay uses major credit industry databases plus global IP databases to test
the authenticity of transactions. Real-time alerting is network, device and
channel independent; it supports a range of protocols including SMS, WAP and
HTTP.
