|
September 16 2002 In a major breakthrough, U.S. Customs agents intercepted a cache of 250 cell phones that were to be shipped to the al Qaeda network, said John Babb, U.S. Customs director. The shipment contained digital GSM and satellite phones, the same types used to plan the Sep 11 2001 terror attacks against the USA.
The US government is continuing to investigate.
