eSignX has been issued another patent. Patent No. 6,282,656 issued by the U.S. Patent Office specifies a method for approving a transaction using a Portable Electronic Authorization Device through a downloadable program from a remote server.
These devices include, but are not limited to hardware WIM (Wireless Identity Module) or eSignX software, i.e. Digital Signature Module (xDSM).
This is viewed as a key mobile transaction piece in eSignX growing Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio, according to Chief Marketing Officer, Christopher McPhillips.
"eSingX is better positioned to leverage its intellectual property through creating and marketing mobile solutions that enhance and secure mobile transactions," says Mr. McPhillips. The Intellectual Property portfolio permits the company an opportunity to work with leading mobile companies, device manufacturers, network carriers, middleware and other mobile service providers in licensing eSignX technology and its Intellectual Property.
The transaction program is generally downloadable over-the-air Software such as a MIDlet written in J2ME platform, or a WML script for a WAP enabled device.
