Blink.com, the leading innovator in bookmark management and Web searching, today announced the launch of their new wireless application protocol (WAP) bookmark manager, Blink WAP (http://wap.blink.com), which promises to radically improve the wireless Internet experience for users of Web-enabled cell phones and other WAP devices. A streamlined version of the Blink.com site, Blink WAP allows users to configure their folders of favorite bookmarks on their PC or laptop, then remotely access their accounts and utilize many of the valuable features on Blink, including searching and organizing links.
``Our mission at Blink is to help users unleash the power of their bookmarks. With the new WAP and Mobile versions of Blink we have become a comprehensive service -- providing users with better bookmark management and access from anywhere with nearly every wireless device,'' said David Siegel, CEO of Blink.com. ``And, since you can bookmark your favorite sites from your PC or laptop, you don't have to navigate the Web using your phone's tiny buttons and screen. It's a great time saver.''
With fast loading onto mini-browsers, Blink WAP enables users to obtain their desired information quickly and easily, dramatically improving the typical experience of wireless Web surfing. This new utility complements Blink Mobile (http://mobile.blink.com), which enables Blink's functionality from other wireless devices, including all Palm Pilots with Web browsers, and devices with Windows CE and Pocket PC browsers.
User benefits of Blink WAP include:
-- Access to a comprehensive directory of links of the best WAP-enabled sites on the Web;
-- Access to personalized bookmark folders, and the ability to add and delete links directly from a WAP phone;
-- Access to "Hot Lists" of WAP links that Blink members have viewed most often or most recently.
