How much does it cost to sign up for the MyEMessenger Service?
Nothing. This service is absolutely free to all.
How can I download MyEMessenger?
Once you've joined the service, just select "MyEMessenger
Download".
How many messages am I allowed to send?
The sky is the limit!! You can send as many messages as you would like.
How long does it take my message to reach the wireless device?
Your message will usually be sent within a minute or so, depending on how
busy the service and the wireless providers network are at the time.
How can I review each function on MyEMessenger?
On the MyEMessenger application, click on the question mark towards the
upper right hand corner (on the title bar) and then click on the interface
component that you would like to know more about.
How can I send a message using the MyEMessenger Service?
Select the user in the contact hierarchy on the left, type your message in
the Compose tab on the right, and click the Send button when your finished.
How can I add a contact name?
Select the branch within the contact hierarchy on the left, and click
the Add New User button from the toolbar (or right-click and choose Add New
User To... from the menu), then enter a nickname for the user and an email
alias, then click OK.
How can I do a search for a contact name?
Click the Find User button on the toolbar and enter the nickname of the user
to find. When you click OK, it will highlight the user in the hierarchy on
the left.
How can I modify a contact name?
Select the user in the hierarchy on the left, and click the Modify
button on the toolbar (or right-click on the user's name and select
Modify...), then change the information and click OK to confirm the change.
How can I open and close the MyEMessenger Program?
After the MyEMessenger application is installed on your computer, you will
launch it by selecting it from the Programs selection within your Start
Menu.
How can I send the same message to multiple people?
Select the group name (top-level such as General or Co-Workers) in the
hierarchy on the left, enter the message in the Compose tab on the right,
and click Send.
How can I define my own User Groups other the default groups?
Right-click anywhere in the hierarchy tree on the left, select Add New
Group. A new group called "Others" will be added to the bottom of
the tree.
How do I rename an "Other" group that I have made?
Select the group name, then single-click on the name once more and an edit
box will surround the name. Edit the name as you wish and click Enter when
finished.
How do I move a user from one group to another?
Select the user and drag (by clicking and holding the left mouse button down
while moving the mouse pointer) the user to the desired group, then release
the button.
