Normally you have only access to Communicator document folder but there is more below that folder. With File Explorer you can easily access to full Communicator directory structure. With this feature you can have access to all files on the Communicator. There is also 'ROM drives' and Memory Card 'drive' that can be accessed with File Explorer.

Communicator's operating system is run over standard DOS (like Windows 9x) and sometimes you need to access DOS based system files for manipulating system behaviour that cannot be done with other means. However you cannot edit/create plaint DOS text files that are needed for this with Communicator own software.

With File Explorer you can manipulate or create plain DOS and UNIX text files with build in text editor! Now you can edit systems scripts or even update your remote UNIX server files in your Communicator! This is not possible with any Communicator own software!

File explorer includes also Reboot-manager that allows you to reboot communicator and perform troubleshooting functions such as formatting filesystem directly from the software. No need for removing battery and trying to be fast enough for there magic-buttons!
