WAPtelnet is a Telnet client for WAP mobiles. One can use WAPtelnet to connect via WAP enabled devices to UNIX boxes, routers and all the other machines that understand the Telnet protocol. WAPtelnet allows remote administration for sysadmins from every place where a WAP phone works - football stadiums, opera houses, conference meetings, tramways, whatever places you can imagine.

Requirements

WAPtelnet is implemented as a Servlet that can be used on every system that supports Java servlets (Web servers with servlet extensions (Apache, Netscape Entersprise server, IIS, ...) on all major platforms (Windows 95/98/NT/2000, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux, MacOS, ...)

Connects to every database that has a JDBC driver (Oracle, Informix, Sybase, DB2, MySQL, ...)

Please be aware of the fact that the version listed below has these limitations:

• disconnects after five minutes
• no web front-end and no database
• no user management
• no sessions
• no commands
• only one concurrent session

WAPtelnet(free) is free for personal use. If you would like to use WAPtelnet(free) commercially, you can license this small version for 30 EURO (no disconnection after 5 minutes). Nonetheless, you should consider licencing the full version that allows much more and which is much easier to use on a WAP phone.
